Established in 1980, Boutinot wines found its roots in the humble northern town of Stockport. Paul Boutinot was dissatisfied with the quality of the wines being sold at his parents' restaurant so travelled to and from France to bring great quality yet affordable wines back to the UK.

Eventually, Boutinot began making their own wines and forging relationships across Europe and beyond. Their ethos centres around providing great quality wine whilst maintaining low prices and this couldn't be more evident than with this Vega del Rayo Rioja Tempranillo. The grapes are sourced in the Spanish region of Rioja Alta, fermented, macerated, and then bottled before ageing to keep the palate modern and vibrant.
