Founded in 1895 in the Spanish town of Haro, Bodegas Martínez Lacuesta has been a thriving wine house for decades. Financed by Félix Martínez Lacuesta, the first president of the National Association of Wine-growers and Wine-producers in Spain, this brand is rooted in intricate knowledge of all things wine. After its founding, the following generations of Lacuestas travelled around North and Central American, and eventually worldwide.
The brand became the supplier to the royal family of Spain and as a result, gained great respect and a glamourous status. Today, Lacuesta wine house makes a huge range of wines and fortified wines, and here we have their Reserva Vermouth. The wine is aged for a short time in smokey oak barrels as a nod to the brand's traditional production method.
This vermouth has notes of aromatic caramel and dried orange peel with a moreish bitter finish. Grab your bottle now from Spirit Store and enjoy as an aperitif; chilled, with orange peel and a single olive.
