Millstone 100 Rye Whisky 70cl

Zuidam Distillers began in the Netherlands in 1976 when the van Zuidam family decided to pursue their passion for distilling to make liqueurs and gins. The business now operates near the Belgian border under brothers Patrick and Gilbert, who now use the distillery to pursue their passion for whiskey.

Since the production of their first barrel in 1996, the brothers meticulously improved their recipes until perfection was reached and Millstone was born. Following the Dutch tradition, windmills are used to mill the malted barley for their whiskies and each batch is prepared in small quantities to ensure quality.

Millstone 100 Rye is a very special whisky - the new spirit is crafted from a mixture of malted and unmalted rye which is then aged in new American oak for at least 100 months. As its name references, it's made with 100% rye grain, 100% small pot still distillation, matured for 100 months in 100% new American oak barrels and bottled at 100° Proof. Aromas of spices and citrus notes are followed by sweet honey and peppery vanilla on the palate.
