Quick Overview

Cavit winery began in 1950 as an association of grape growers across the mountainous Trentino region of northeast Italy, and today it consists of 4,500 grape growers working across 70 square kilometres of vineyards. As a result, their wine production is vast and varied due to their massive range of international and indigenous grape varieties. Out of the region's entire wine production, Cavit is responsible for 60%, so high quality is to be expected.

Their Lunetta Prosecco Spumante Brut has apple aromas and notes of baked apple with a clean finish that makes it a real easy drinker, and it's vegan too! Serve chilled as an aperitif or of course as a celebration wine. It goes particularly well with Italian panettone so this is the perfect prosecco for the festive season.

Cavit's Lunetta Prosecco Spumante is made exclusively from Glera grapes cultivated in the Veneto region, in the hills north of Treviso, between the river Piave and the Prealps. The Glera grape flourishes in the fresh, loose hill soils in this area and the average yield is 90 hl/ha. The grapes are harvested by hand in mid September. Temperature controlled fermentation in stainless steel. The second fermentation is carried out in tank (Charmat method), after which the wine is held on fine lees for 3 months before bottling.

Tasting notes

A deliciously light and fruity Prosecco with hints of apple and peach on the nose and a fresh, softly sparkling palate with characters of soft ripe stone fruits.

Food match

Serve chilled as an aperitif or celebration wine. Also goes well with Italian panettone.
