Maison Briottet was initially established as a French wine house in 1836. As the 'Kir' cocktail - a mixture of white wine and blackcurrant liqueur - was growing in popularity, owner Edmund Briottet abandoned winemaking and turned his attention to Creme de Cassis in the 1900s.
After years of establishing their method, Maison Briottet settled on using blackcurrants from Dijon and began mixing them with various alcohols and sugars to create the perfect liqueur. The company today is under the management of the sixth generation of the Briottet family, so they take great pride in their heritage and recipes.
Here we have the Creme de Cassis de Dijon 20% ABV, a delicious blackcurrant liqueur that goes beautifully in cocktails or sipped as an after-dinner treat.
