Warm weather means cocktails! Did anyone else get serious holiday feels in last week's heatwave? And the fact we're meant to be getting an even longer heatwave in May...I can already sense the beer garden envy. Thank you, Instagram and Snapchat! But a beer garden is nice, but it's not quite cocktails on a sunny beach, is it? My favourite recipe is a good old strawberry dacq!

I think it's basically the perfect cocktail. Frozen and fruity, tick...it doesn't taste overly strong, tick! If you love strawberry daiquiris as much as I do, read to discover how to make a strawberry daiquiri using Koko Kanu Coconut Rum to give it that extra splash of tropical to it.

Making cocktails at home (or on holiday) doesn't have to be hard! Follow my super easy steps below to make the perfect strawberry daiquiri!

The Perfect Strawberry Daiquiri Recipe

Ingredients:

Method:

Start by placing the strawberries, rum, strawberry liqueur and lime juice into the bottom of a cocktail shaker and mash  - if you've got a cocktail muddler, use that, or you can even use the end of a rolling pin or any of cocktail equipment you might have in your kitchen! Next, it's time to shake that cocktail shaker - Don't forget to place the lid on the cocktail shaker before you do this. Finally, strain the mixture into a Martini glass and garnish with half a strawberry if you wish.

Voila, the perfect strawberry daiquiri! I've not used sugar or simple syrup in this cocktail as we find the fresh strawberries combined with the Wild Strawberry liqueur makes it sweet enough. I hope you found this recipe super easy to follow! Making your favourite cocktails at home doesn't have to be hard - but if you fancy leaving the mess at home, the strawberry daiquiri is a classic cocktail that'll definitely be served at your fave cocktail bar.
